"Preparing All Students to Succeed"

  • FHHS linebacker Aaron Sigmon signed a letter of intent to play football for Wingate University.  Sigmon is a three-time first-team All-Union County selection and played in the 2010 Shrine Bowl.  Congratulations, Aaron!

  • Crystal Hughes was named a National Mathematics Award Winner by the United States Achievement Academy.  Crystal was nominated by her teacher, Tracy Gatica.  Crystal's activities include basketball, National Honor Society, and religious activities.  Congratulations, Crystal!

  • FHHS congratulates Mrs. Sandra Jones who recently renewed her National Board Certification in Science.  To achieve National Board Certification, teachers must meet rigorous standards through intensive study, expert evaluation, self-assessment, and peer review.

  • FHHS congratulates Mr. Mario Donato who achieved National Board Certification in Business Education from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. To achieve National Board Certification, teachers must meet rigorous standards through intensive study, expert evaluation, self-assessment, and peer review. Mr. Donato is in his sixth year of teaching.

  • Congratulations to senior linebacker Aaron Sigmon who was selected to play in the 74th Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas played Dec. 18, 2010 at Gibbs Stadium on the campus of Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC.

  • On November 19, 2010, 41 students from Forest Hills represented their school at the 2nd annual We the Students Day at the Jesse Helms Center. Answering questions on the Constitution and competing against schools from UCPS and CMS, Forest Hills won two Unit Awards and was also named the overall winner!
     

  • FHHS Sophomore Briona Rushing was named the Dale Jarrett Ford Student of the Month for September, 2010.  She was chosen from nominees from all Union County high schools.  Congratulations, Briona!

  • Sat., Sept. 25, 2010 at the Mount Pleasant Showcase of Champions, the Forest Hills Jacket Regiment brought home Second Place in Colorguard and First Place in Percussion, Marching, and Music. They also beat out four other bands to take First Place Overall in the Class 1A competition.  Way to go!

  • Congratulations to the Forest Hills Jacket Regiment for their outstanding performance on Sat. at the Mount Pleasant Showcase of Champions.  They brought home Second Place in Colorguard and First Place in Percussion, Marching, and Music.  They also beat out four other bands to take First Place Overall in the Class 1A competition.  The Jacket Regiment will be competing at the Providence Cup Sat., Oct. 2.

  • Eddie Rivers, head softball coach at Forest Hills High, has been inducted into the North Carolina Softball Hall of Fame.
